Description: 

At Graham Muir Sales Inc. we are excited to be adding a Business Developer – Technical Sales Representative to our team, as we continue to grow our business in the Industrial and Automotive manufacturing markets in the GTA – Eastern Ontario region.  

Requirements:

-        Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from an accredited university

-        Valid Driver’s License

-        Candidates must be self-starters and be able to effectively manage their time and resources in pursuit of new accounts while being responsive to existing customers

-        Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)

-        Willingness to learn and grow both personally and professionally

-        Able to visualize concepts and articulate solutions with clients and team     

Preferred Qualifications:

-        2+ years Sales experience in the Industrial and or Automotive manufacturing markets

-        Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics CRM program

-        Understanding of basic tape and adhesive properties would be an asset

Remuneration

-        Competitive compensation package including base plus commission plan, full benefits, paid time off and company vehicle allowance. 

 

Responsibilities : 

This dynamic, self-starter will:

-        Manage a portfolio of accounts with the focus on growing the business and building long term relationships

-        Develop an area business plan identifying targets for customer acquisition, expansion and retention

-        Work effectively with production and support staff to grow revenues and contribute to the bottom line

-        Demonstrate superior customer service and consultative skills with a proven ability to: review applications, develop solutions that address customer needs, provide quotations and follow up in order to foster goodwill with customers

-        Learn all aspects of account management including face to face selling skills, time and territory management, account development strategies, deliver professional presentations and effect successful negotiations with new and existing client

-        Support the company’s strategic plan and market penetration objectives

-        Local / regional travel as required-Understand and interpret requirements, promoting company products and services to customers

Qualifications: 

One or two years of related sales experience in a business-to-business environment.

The successful candidate will be familiar with relationship selling and will have experience in cold calling.

-Computer skills proficiency (MS Suite) with an aptitude for details and accuracy

-Communicative (spoken and written)

-Persuasive – able to turn objections into sales

-Able to meet changing requirements through flexibility and multi-tasking

-Organized approach to complete tasks

-Reasoning, number speed and accuracy and ability to visualize complex concepts,
